International G2MC Virtual Conference

The mission of the G2M Collaborative is to identify, promote, implement, and evaluate genomicmedicine programs around the world.

G2MC

G2MC organizes a yearly meeting of global leaders in the field of genomic medicine to share knowledge and experience and to organize implementation projects, educational activities, and evaluation of best practices. This year’s meeting, the fifth in this series, was originally scheduled to take place in Santiago, Chile. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the face-to-face component of the meeting will be postponed to a later date, and an abbreviated virtual conference will be held on May 7 - 8, with working group breakout sessions to be held on May 6. It is important that participants register for the virtual conference so that meeting links and materials can be distributed, and so secure meeting access can be granted to the appropriate attendees.

 The virtual conference will consist of five sessions to include the following topics: Genomic Landscape in Latin America, Genomics of Common Disorders, Genomics of Rare Disorders, and Solutions to Roadblocks. The virtual conference is intended to be a prelude to the future face-to-face meeting. The focus of the previous meeting that took place in Cape Town, South Africa (<A HREF="https://g2mc.org/events/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://g2mc.org/events/</A>) and of the upcoming one is the implementation of Genomic Medicine in low- and middle-income countries and limited-resource settings. This is a crucial endeavor to assure that the benefits of Genomic Medicine reach all populations.
