About this event

Join us for a night of fun at the Museum Mile Festival at El Museo del Barrio! Explore the exciting spring exhibitions including Amalia Mesa-Bains: Archaeology of Memory, the first retrospective exhibition by the pioneering artist, curator, and theorist, and and Cuerpo: Carlos Martiel, the first solo exhibition in a New York City museum of Carlos Martiel, the inaugural recipient of the Maestro Dobel Latinx Art Prize.

Archaeology of Memory is a rare opportunity to view three decades of Mesa-Bains’s genre-defying artworks, many of which are on display together for the first time, and Cuerpo is a survey encapsulating two decades of Martiel’s performance-based practice. El Museo’s celebration will feature art-marking activities outdoors for everyone to enjoy inspired by the exhibitions, live musical performances and gallery tours.

Open to all ages.
