Cooking with Christina at Dr. Dawn's Plant-based Kitchen
Dr. Dawn's Plant-based Kitchen is the only one of its kind - in a doctor's office where the space is dedicated to health and wellness. It is open to the public as well as a way to help patients learn more ways of exploring the world of eating whole food that are truly anti-inflammatory and full of antioxidants which are the key to longevity and supporting wellness. Dr. Dawn reversed her autoimmune condition - Lupus and specializes in autoimmune conditions. She understands how diet truly impacts health. Everything on health plans can be found in one place here at Wellness Matters! The meals here are focused on supporting the anti-inflammatory diet, so that food is truly medicine which is full of antioxidants to decrease inflammation. We take anti-inflammatory to the next level here. In addition to being vegan which is dairy-free and gluten-free, we also are nightshade free. When it comes to autoimmune disease and some cases of chronic inflammation, nightshade vegetables can cause more harm as they can cause more heat in the body. We offer different options to the common nightshade vegetables many people eat which include: tomato, pepper, eggplant and white potato. Learn about decreasing inflammation with different food options while eating nutrient dense delicious food. Creative ways to get veggies into your diet is our aim.
