Drawing and Painting!

Laura Noble is an experienced teaching artist, whose mediums include gouache, colored pencil and art marker, digital illustration, oil and water-based paints. She primarily works observationally, with a preference for natural forms. She has over 15 years of teaching fine art: observational drawing, fashion illustration, urban sketching, plein air painting, contemplative art, and even botanical design. She is on faculty, teaching undergraduate classes at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). She also works privately, teaching select students in her own studio, and developing creative portfolios with those who seek acceptance to top art and design schools. Her studio is now located in the Flatiron Arts Building in Wicker Park, where she and her team seek to bring learning and art practice opportunities to a wider audience. They also seek to bring in other guest teaching artists to offer workshops and events.
