HB Conversations

Founded in 1945 by Viennese actor/director Herbert Berghof, HB Studio is one of New York’s original acting studios. As a nonprofit organization, we support vigorous, lifelong practice in the theatre arts, grounded in practical training. We cultivate an environment where artists take risks, refine their craft, and grow through dedication and discovery. Open to all with a serious interest in theatre and film, HB fosters a vibrant community of actors, playwrights, and directors committed to meaningful artistic work.
