KWLT Presents: Kafka's Dick

Kafka's Dick by Alan Bennett, directed by Christena Jackson. This hilarious comedy satirizes our habit of showing less interest in an artist’s work than the meaningless details of their private lives, from eating habits to their sex lives.

Organizador de KWLT Presents: Kafka's Dick
Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre is a volunteer-driven non-profit community theatre in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario.KWLT has operated since 1935 nearly continuously, with pauses during World War 2 and the COVID-19 pandemic. We encourage anyone who wants to try something new and are proud to be an entry point to the theatre experience for anyone in the community interested in getting involved. We hold auditions that are open to anyone, regardless of experience, and welcome backstage volunteers looking to learn about theatre.Currently KWLT produces three Main Stage productions each season. We also host our Studio Series of smaller-scale productions (such as staged readings, improv events, and the ever-popular March Madness) as well as workshops and social events. Our productions are director led ; each year we invite members of the community who wish to direct to submit proposals for the next season. We look for directors who have passion and a strong vision for the play they want to direct. We present a wide variety of programming, from locally-written comedies, theatre classics (often with a twist), and modern dramas. We perform in small 60 seat theatre in the heart of Uptown Waterloo. Our black box theatre space at 9 Princess Street East is a flexible and intimate venue and we are always looking for new artists and audiences.
