Nature Sprouts: Pre-school Programs

Learn how to canoe while having fun at the CEC! Multiple dates available. Open to ages 8 and up.

Learn how to enjoy the beauty of winter on cross country skis! You will be instructed on ski technique and then hit the trails with the instructor to guide you. Choose from multiple dates. All ages welcome. No experience necessary.

Join Captain's Chocolate for a hands-on workshop that takes you through the entire process of making delicious organic chocolate. Learn how to make chocolate mousse and truffles and take them home to share, give as a gift, or enjoy for yourself!

Ensure that Faith is a part of your child's adventures in nature! Classes meet September through May for a total of 18 sessions. Age groups available for kids 5-12-years-old. Individual season sign ups begin June 1st (Fall/Winter/Spring, 6 classes each).

In this winter nature class series, we will experience the magic of the season through stories, songs, hands-on activities, and outdoor exploration. Each class brings a new topic to explore! Intended for children ages 2-4 with their caregiver.

The colder months are the ideal time to tackle property and trail maintenance projects here at the CEC. Come lend a hand! No experience necessary (except for chainsaw work). For ages 12 and up - those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Ever wondered if you could survive off the grid? Come spend the day in the woods learning the tricks for wilderness survival. Levels build upon each other and get progressively more challenging. See level descriptions for eligibility requirements.

Get ready for Advent with this fun, relaxing and faith-filled workshop! Make your own unique Advent wreath from natural materials. Learn about the history and meaning behind this beautiful Advent tradition. Enjoy music, hot drinks, and a warm fire!
