Your Town Alabama
Founded in 1998, Your Town Alabama is a leadership development nonprofit focused on design and planning as community and economic development tools. Its flagship program is an annual workshop that educates individuals on developing projects that provide local benefits while retaining small or rural town character by identifying what is good in a community and magnifying the benefits of those assets. YTA builds community by facilitating a network for 1,000+ alumni to share ideas, experiences, and resources. YTA provides technical assistance by developing accessible resources and introducing professional design and planning resources that are uncommon in smaller communities.
