Hats Off For Veterans (HOFV) is a Texas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans and their families through life-changing programs and resources. Our services include Suicide & Crisis Resources, Courage to Connect peer support, Educational Scholarships, the MSG JQ Scholarship, Professional Development Grants, and Workforce Assistance. Powered by volunteers, HOFV is committed to honoring service by creating opportunities, hope, and a stronger future for those who served.

HOFV produces a free monthly podcast for the Military Brats and Family community called Punk Brats.

The Courage to Connect: Help For Veterans Navigating PTSD virtual Zoom meetings provide a safe, supportive, and confidential space for veterans to share and connect. Meetings are confidential, never recorded, and participants may use first names only or remain anonymous. No registration is required, veterans can join freely at any time. Led by veteran peers, sessions foster trust, empathy, and open conversation without judgment. These meetings focus on support, not treatment, offering a space to share experiences and coping strategies. Held via Zoom, veterans can join from anywhere with internet access. If there’s no activity by 8:00 PM CST, the meeting will close and resume the following month.

PTSD By Proxy is a free, virtual, and confidential support group for anyone living with or caring for someone with PTSD. It’s a safe, judgment-free space to connect with others who truly understand. NOTE: This group is not just for the military community, it is open to all communities. We also welcome Survivors of Suicide (SOS) who have lost a loved one to PTSD. Here, you’ll find compassion, support, and connection on your healing journey. Meetings are held monthly on the third Wednesday at 10:00 AM CST via Zoom. Participation is optional, join by video, audio, or simply listen. If there’s no activity by 10:30 AM CST, the meeting will close and resume the following month. You are not alone. Together, we can heal through community.
