Step Change in Safety was formed in 1997 by industry, for industry.

We are a member-led, not-for-profit, tripartite organisation which works to ‘Prevent Incidents and Injuries across the Energy Industry’. This mission is driven by bringing together energy providers, supply chain companies, representatives of the workforce, trade associations, unions and regulators.

Through active leadership, member collaboration and workforce engagement, Step Change in Safety has evolved and adapted to ever-changing industry needs and challenges.

Workforce health and safety always comes first; it is the bedrock of our organisation and what shapes our goals.
